The figures overlap in an interweaving of identities, roles and appearances. Masks are not only what we show others, but also what we learn to wear to fit, protect or hide parts of ourselves. The work recounts the process of liberation from these superstructures, the gesture of letting what lies beyond the constructed image emerge and finally recognising its authenticity.
